‘GOAT’ Movie review and release LIVE Updates: Hindi version of Vijay starrer to skip releases in multiplex

The Tamil movie ‘GOAT’ (Greatest of All Time), starring Vijay is directed by Venkat Prabhu, and the film is set to release on September 5, 2024. This highly anticipated film features Vijay in a dual role, playing both a father and a son. The film uses advanced de-aging technology to make Vijay appear younger, creating distinct characters with very different personalities.

‘GOAT’ is an espionage spy thriller with a global backdrop, featuring Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, and Laila among others dding a strong nostalgic element by reuniting actors from the 90s – Mohan and late actor Vijayakanth whose apearance is specially driven from AI. The film’s cast also include Ajmal, Meenakshi Chaudahry, Jayaram, Vaibhav, Premji, Ajai Raj, Aravind Akash among others. The movie’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the film shooting happened in multiple locations like Los Angeles, Russia, Tunisia, and Africa.

‘GOAT’ has a huge anticipation and this science fiction action drama focuses on the life of Vijay who plays the role of ‘Gandhi’ in the film who is introduced to the audience as a hostage negotiator, field agent, and spy working for the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS), which coordinates with RAW, that is based in Chennai. The story evlovels while he is on a trip with his family to Thailand and gets into trouble years after retirement and how he along with his team of thtree memebers and son Jeevan fight against it. Multiple suspenses are filled in the movie with the director challenging the audience that no one can predict the next scene!

Despite speculation, the producers have clarified that ‘GOAT’ is not a political film. Instead, it focuses on action and entertainment, with several surprises in store for the audience and the trailer of the film promises an intense action sequences and a story that fans will likely enjoy watching. The film has a huge buzz as it is probably the last film that actor Vijay will be part of before he retires from the entertainment industry to completely step into the political arena with his party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam which was recently launched.

Trade analysts reportedly state that the film will break all the records set by Vijay’s film previously and added that the movie will have the highest opening for this year till now. The reports suggested that the movie will gross Rs 90 crore on day 1 worldwide and the film in advance sales has already made Rs 65 crore.
