Celebrities check in on Dharmendra
During his stay at the hospital, several film industry friends visited the film legend to check on his well-being. Superstars Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda personally came to offer their support. Aamir Khan, accompanied by his girlfriend Gauri Spratt, was also among those who went to check the veteran star’s health.
Dharmendra’s family announced that he had been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday, 11 November 2025. He is now at home and recovering well under medical supervision. The family expressed relief that he is stable and emphasised the importance of giving him a peaceful environment for recovery.
Following his discharge, many celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, visited Dharmendra at his Mumbai home to check on him. However, the attention and crowds became overwhelming for the family.
Sunny Deol requests privacy
Dharmendra’s elder son, actor Sunny Deol, spoke to the media on 13 November, clearly frustrated by the constant attention. He appealed for respect and privacy during this emotionally difficult time, saying, “Aapke ghar mein maa-baap hain… Sharam nahi aati?” (Don’t you feel any shame?).
Hema Malini expressed worry and relief publicly
Dharmendra’s wife, veteran actor Hema Malini, opened up about the emotional challenges the family faced during this period. Speaking to Subhash K Jha, Hema said that it had not been an easy time for her, as the actor’s health was a matter of great concern for the family. She added that their children were sleepless and that she could not afford to be weak due to too many responsibilities. However, she expressed happiness that he was back home and relief that he had been discharged from the hospital. She emphasised that he needed to be among the people he loved and added that everything else was in the hands of the Almighty, while also requesting prayers for the family.

After Dharmendra’s discharge, many celebrities sent heartfelt messages and wishes for his speedy recovery. Their visits and messages show the deep respect and admiration the industry continues to hold for him.
