Cosmetics and skincare brand Swiss Beauty’s CEO Saahil Nayar has decided to leave the business. For his next project, Nayar plans to pursue a new venture in the Indian beauty space.
“I am most excited about making a positive difference in people’s lives- whether for consumers or the people I work with,” said Nayar in a statement, ET Brand Equity reported. “I believe you can only build a great ecosystem by adding value, and I’ve identified a key missing piece in India’s beauty space that I aim to address, by offering a better alternative.”
At Swiss Beauty, Nayar helped lead the brand to expand into non-metro locations and reach new customer demographics, the Economic Times reported. The brand retails colour cosmetics including lipsticks, eyeshadows, and eyeliners, as well as skincare goods including serums and face masks, according to its Facebook page.
Nayar has worked in India’s beauty industry for more than 15 years and was the co-founder of Bella Vita Organic, a perfume brand for men and women. The executive has also worked in roles including vice president of business at The Moms Co, business head at Kama Ayurveda, and digital head at Revlon in India.
“The industry trend is changing, and I believe it’s the perfect time to catalyse the next transformation,” said Nayar. “Over the years, I’ve worked with multiple brands and witnessed their growth trajectories firsthand while learning countless invaluable lessons. I plan to apply these insights to create meaningful change.”
