
But as it turns out, that’s just the beginning.
Trump isn’t merely giving the White House a makeover. He’s also trying to put his stamp on Washington, D.C., with a massive arch in the middle of the city that he showcased this week.
Colbert’s audience started to jeer, but he cut them off.
“No, it’s actually lovely,” he said. “It’s actually a set of two arches, and I’m told we have the architectural rendering.”
He showed off what he said Trump’s “two arches” would look like in the nation’s capital:
“Announcing your own triumphal arch is textbook dictator,” Colbert said.
