BATHINDA: A third firing incident in a little over four months was reported at comedian-actor Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada. A three-second video clip went viral on social media on Thursday, showing multiple rounds being fired at the cafe from a vehicle. However, the authenticity of the clip could not be ascertained.
The video clearly shows a shooter firing repeatedly at the cafe’s glass facade from inside the vehicle. After the incident, a screenshot of a post was uploaded on social media (the authenticity of which was also not ascertained) in the name of one Kulvir Sidhu, with a display photo of Lawrence Bishnoi. In the post, responsibility for the firing was claimed by Kulvir Sidhu and Goldy Dhillon, associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Purportedly, it was written, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Today’s firing at Kap’s Cafe, Surrey, was carried out by me, Kulvir Sidhu, and Goldy Dhillon. We have no grudge with the general public. Those who owe us or cheat us will be warned. Those from Bollywood who speak against our religion should also be prepared; bullets can come from anywhere.” It was also mentioned that people should stay away from those with whom they have issues. Those who are involved in illegal activities and do not pay after their jobs are done should also be ready for action. It is being said that the mention of Bollywood is due to a celebrated hero, as Kapil Sharma is said to be close to him.It is learnt that the authorities are probing the incident. Earlier, shootouts occurred at the cafe on July 10 and August 7, when windows were shattered, but no injuries were reported. The cafe was reopened recently as Surrey mayor Brenda Locke visited the cafe.
