Fortunately, a recent survey ranked the Nuggets as having the best home-court advantage in the league. With the team scheduled to play 38 games at Ball Arena during the regular season, Nuggets fans are excited to hear this stat. The rankings regarding top home-court advantages came following a survey sent to NBA general managers.

A few of the obvious reasons players prefer to be at home rather than on the road are having the familiarity of their locker rooms, the support from locals, and the daily routine in their own city. However, some NBA arenas also come with additional perks that could potentially give the home team an extra edge.

For example, Ball Arena sits a mile above sea level, which can be tough for visiting teams who are not used to the elevation. The high altitude means the air is thinner and has less oxygen, which can tire out players from other places much quicker. Ball Arena is considered a challenging stop for any team on the road, which gives the Nuggets a big advantage since they are used to practicing and playing in these conditions.

The Nuggets also have an incredibly dedicated fanbase. In fact, every single home game was sold out last season – the first time that’s happened in franchise history. According to Fox31 Denver, the Nuggets were one of only 12 NBA teams to achieve this impressive feat. Ball Arena has a basketball capacity of 19,520 seats. The loud support of fans during games fuels a fire for the players to perform and boosts the team’s morale.

Denver kicked off the 2024-25 season at home on October 24. Seven out of their first 10 games will be played at home. The Nuggets will play 17 of 29 games at Ball Arena beginning February 1, which is a great time to catch them in action and contribute to their home court advantage!
