Priyanka Chopra was a part of Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf‘ and got a lot of praise for her performance. Infact, it’s considered one of the best movies in her career. The movie also starred John Abraham, Irrfan Khan, Vivaan Shah, Naseeruddin Shah, Annu Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Usha Utthup. The film was dark and intense and initially had Priyanka to share a kiss with Annu Kapoor. However, the latter had said in an interview that when Vishal Bhardwaj told PC about it, she had a problem.
Kapoor said in an interview that he insisted that the scene is cut since Priyanka was uneasy filming it, but Vishal Bhardwaj wanted it in the film. Annu played a character called Keemat Lal in the movie. He had said in an interview with ANI, “The simple thing is, if I were a hero, Priyanka Chopra wouldn’t have had any problem. She doesn’t have any problem kissing a hero. Then there is me. I don’t have a face. I don’t have a personality. That’s why there’s a problem.”
Since Vishal, refused to cut the scene from the film, Annu Kapoor did a solo shot which was included in the film and he got a lot of praise from the ‘Crew’ for that solo scene.
Apart from ‘7 Khoon Maaf’, Priyanka has worked with Bhardwaj on ‘Kaminey’ which also starred Shahid Kapoor. Interestingly, there was a kissing scene in the film and when Shahid and Priyanka had appeared together on ‘Koffee With Karan’, they had spoken about it. Priyanka had revealed that she was hesistant to do it as she was told about it suddenly after coming on the set. But Vishal convinced her saying it was important for the film. PC then suggested that Shahid made her feel extremely comfortable when she agreed to finally do it after much hesitance.
