A $3.3 million Allstate settlement resolves claims that the insurance company called consumers and recorded their calls without consent.
The settlement benefits consumers whom Allstate’s Claims Liability Determination Unit called on their cell phones between Feb. 1, 2022, and Dec. 31, 2022, where the call was recorded without their consent.
According to the class action lawsuit, this call recording allegedly violated California’s Invasion of Privacy Act.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Oct. 30, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Jan. 10, 2025.
