After becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 is well on its way to hitting the Rs 600 crore mark at the box office, making it the only Hindi film to enter the Rs 600 crore club as Hindi version of Shah Rukh Khan’sJawan collected Rs 582.31 crore.

The film grossed Rs 591.95 crore in seven weeks and added another Rs 2.65 crore over the 8th weekend.On Friday, the film’s collection stayed steady at Rs 50 lakh, followed by an 80% jump on Saturday, bringing in Rs 90 lakh. On Sunday, early estimates from Sacnilk suggest the film collected Rs 1.25 crore, bringing the total collection to Rs 594.60 crore. It now needs just over Rs 5 crore to cross the magical Rs 600 crore mark. With this, Stree 2 has become the highest-grossing film in the 8th weekend, surpassing SS Rajamouli , Rana Dagubatti and Prabhas’ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, whose entire 8th-week collection was Rs 2.5 crore.

Stree 2 is expected to breach the Rs 600 crore mark over the coming weekend, although it may face some competition from Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina ’s Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala and Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shandaliyaa, both releasing on October 11th.
