(Gray News) – ”Wheel of Fortune” is entering into a new era.
For the first time in over four decades, there will be a new host on “America’s Game” as Ryan Seacrest makes his hosting debut on the show.
Seacrest begins his new role after Pat Sajak retired in June.
Following Sajak’s retirement, Seacrest thanked the 77-year-old host for his incredible run as a beloved part of American television.
“Your partnership with Vanna has been nothing short of iconic, and together, you’ve created countless wonderful memories for viewers,” he said in a post on social media. “You’ve set the standard for hosts everywhere, and this marks the end of an era. Best wishes for all your future endeavors.”
In July, Seacrest gave his 7 million Instagram followers a glimpse of his new gig on his first day working on the iconic game show.
“A glimpse of my first day at @wheeloffortune, and I’m still spinning with excitement!” he captioned the clip.
Seacrest will be joined by co-host and longtime letter-turner, Vanna White.
