The Yankees are back home for the first time in over a week as they welcome in the Cleveland Guardians to Yankee Stadium.
This matchup features two of the best teams in baseball, as they enter with the top two records in the American League (Yankees 73-52, Guardians (72-52).
While it might be cliché, this series is crucial for the Bronx Bombers. If they’re able to take two out of three or even sweep the AL Central leading Guardians, it’d be a nice jump start for an organization that faces five straight opponents (Rockies, Nationals, Cardinals, Rangers and Cubs) with an under .500 record before taking a tough stretch to end the season (vs. Royals, vs. Red Sox, at Mariners and vs. Orioles all in September).
The second meeting in this must-watch matchup will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
