Landmark Group has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Shashi Gumma as the new managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) for Spar Hypermarket.
In his new role, Gumma will be responsible to drive transformation and sustainable growth for Spar in the Indian market.
Commenting on his new role, Gumma in a statement said, “Spar has a strong brand image and recognition in the markets that it operates. It has a rich heritage, strong experience in Indian grocery market and has a passionate team of professionals in India. I am very keen and eager to build Spar into a network that provides a great experience to shoppers and create strong patronage with them.”
Sashi Gumma is a retail expert with over 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Spar, he was the chief operating officer for Metro Wholesale in India, and before that, he served as the CEO for More Supermarkets.
Spar Hypermarket retails food items, apparel, footwear, consumer electronics, cosmetics & beauty products, home improvement, and baby products.
