“Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie” is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.
Released on Aug. 2, the animated adventure comedy is a spin-off film from the hit SpongeBob SquarePants franchise and focuses on the protagonist’s anthropomorphic squirrel friend Sandy.
“Saving Bikini Bottom” explores Sandy and SpongeBob’s efforts to save their undersea hometown and friends from an evil corporation. The movie introduces new characters voiced by Johnny Knoxville, Craig Robinson, Wanda Sykes and more.

The top movie on Apple TV+ at the moment is “The Instigators,” which joined the platform on Aug. 9 ― one week after its limited theatrical release.
Starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck (who also co-wrote the screenplay), the heist comedy revolves around two Boston-area strangers who are recruited to carry out a robbery that does not go according to plan. Hong Chau, Alfred Molina, Toby Jones, Jack Harlow, and Rob Gronkowski also appear in “The Instigators.”
“The Bikeriders” is now available to stream on Peacock following its theatrical release in June.
Inspired by the Outlaws Motorcycle Club depicted in Danny Lyon’s 1968 photo book, the period crime drama focuses on members of a fictionalized version of this group. The film, which received mostly positive reviews from critics, stars Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, Mike Faist and Norman Reedus.
The 2010 comedy “Grown Ups” is currently the top movie on Max. Adam Sandler co-wrote, co-produced and co-stars in the film, which follows a group of lifelong friends who come together with their families at a large lake house for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
“Grown Ups” also stars Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello and Maya Rudolph.
“Chief of Station” is the second most popular movie on Hulu at the moment.
The action thriller stars Aaron Eckhart as a CIA station chief whose wife suddenly dies ― leading him to embark on an investigate that unravels a dark conspiracy. Released in theaters in May, the movie received mixed reviews from critics.
