Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail to re-release on its first anniversary in October: Exclusive! | Hindi Movie News

Vidhu Vinod Chopra directed 12th Fail, led by Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr has been one of the most loved and talked about films of 2023. It is one of those rare films which completed 25 weeks at the box office, despite having been released on OTT. The film achieved high praises from actors like Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and many more.

Now, ETimes has exclusively confirmed that the film will be re- released in theaters on its first anniversary in October. A source close to the development shared, “The film till date, has been receiving a lot of love, and to mark the momentous occasion, the makers have decided to bring the film back to the theaters.”
The film was based on the book 12th Fail written by Anurag Pathak, and is based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Sharma and his wife. The film minted over Rs 56 crore at the box office.
Not many are aware that it was Rajkumar Hirani who introduced Vikrant to Vidhu Vinod Chopra for the film and in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Vikrant shared that he thanks Hirani sir every time he meets him.
