On the heels of an assassination attempt against former president Donald Trump, the announcement of his vice president pick and a packed week at the Republican National Convention, many are awaiting Trump’s speech Thursday night at Fiserv Forum to wrap up the fourth and final day of the convention in Milwaukee.
Here’s what we know about Trump’s speech accepting the Republican nomination for president:
What time does Trump speak at the RNC tonight? When is Trump speaking?
Trump will give his acceptance speech between 9 and 10:30 p.m. CT, according to a schedule posted to the convention’s website.
The former president, who’s been donning a bandage over his right ear throughout the RNC, will follow Dana White, the Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO, who will speak during the 8-9 p.m. CT block and several other speakers, including former professional entertainer and wrestler Hulk Hogan and Tucker Carlson, founder of the Tucker Carlson Network. Singer Kid Rock will perform before Trump’s speech, too.
How to watch Trump’s speech at the RNC tonight?
People can watch Trump’s speech by streaming the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Day 4 coverage of the RNC.
The speech will also be available on the GOP convention’s YouTube channel and X account.
Here’s a breakdown of the major networks and their coverage plans:
- C-SPAN will carry the entire convention uninterrupted.
- CBS will have live coverage starting at 7 p.m. CT.
- NBC News will broadcast “Decision 2024” live from 8 to 10 p.m.
- ABC News will have live coverage from 9 to 10 p.m.
- Fox News will air coverage during its regular prime-time lineup of shows, and will broadcast a nightly one-hour special starting at 9 p.m.
- CNN will feature coverage from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., culminating with a live primetime broadcast from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- MSNBC will broadcast a prime-time special from 7 to 11 p.m.
- NewsNation will provide primetime coverage titled “Decision Desk 2024: The Republican National Convention” from 6 to 11 p.m.
