Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday and recounted her time working with former president Donald Trump.
Sanders, a former press secretary in the Trump administration, was a potential pick for the vice-presidential role on the ticket that eventually went to the junior Senator from Ohio, J.D. Vance. In her speech, she spoke about her experiences with Trump as a woman and a mother, commending him for defending her against critique.
The RNC is taking place in Milwaukee through Thursday where Trump will formally accept the party’s nomination for the 2024 Election.

Who is Sarah Huckabee Sanders?
- Who is she? Sanders is Arkansas’ 47th governor and the first women to ever be elected as to the position. She was inaugurated on January 10, 2023.
- What is her role? While serving as press secretary, Sanders was one of Trump’s close confidants. She was also the third woman to hold the position.

The Republicans’ convention will take place over four days, from July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The Fiserv Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks, will be the main venue for the RNC.
