The title for the Hindi remake of ‘Love Today’ has been decided.
According to Peepingmoon.com, the romantic drama featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor will be called ‘Loveyapa‘, a term that combines love with “siyappa”.
In this quirky love story, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor portray a young couple deeply in love, assuming the roles originally played by Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana in the 2022 Tamil film.The film is directed by Advait Chandan, known for ‘Secret Superstar’ and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, and produced by Srishti Behl and Kalpathi S.
Filming for ‘Loveyapa’ started on May 27 and is currently taking place at Mira Road in Mumbai. The production is expected to continue for two more weeks to finish the outdoor scenes before the monsoon season starts. Aamir Khan is reportedly closely monitoring the film’s progress to ensure a high-quality outcome. The movie, a light-hearted drama, delves into the chaos that unfolds when a couple exchanges their phones for a day to test their relationship.
The Hindi remake of ‘Love Today’ marks the third movie venture for both Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Aamir Khan’s son is making his Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films’ ‘Maharaj’, set to premiere on June 14 on Netflix. Subsequently, he will star in ‘Ek Din’, a remake of the 2016 Thai film ‘One Day’, alongside Sai Pallavi.
On the other hand, Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, debuted last year in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix adaptation of ‘The Archies’. She has also completed filming her second project, ‘Naadaniyaan’, alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan’s son. Produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions, ‘Naadaniyaan’ is a romantic comedy directed by debutant Shauna Gautam.
