It’s the United States vs. Canada in the USA Basketball Showcase exhibition ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Oklahoma City Thunder stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luguentz Dort lead Canada into the Olympics with strong hopes of earning a medal.
Team USA is 34-3 all-time in pre-Olympic exhibition games.

NBA Summer League 2024:OKC Thunder roster, schedule and everything else to know
Halftime: Team USA 41, Canada 33
Team USA is ahead 41-33 at the half. Nothing very shocking. Canada’s big rotation is…not USA’s. Shai Gileous-Alexander is understandably playing off the ball in this setting more than he usually would. Lu Dort is still Lu Dort. SGA has seven points (2-for-7 FG) and four rebounds. Dort has one rebound, two steals, three assists and nine hand checks on Anthony Edwards.

End first quarter: Canada 21, United States 14
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the only Canadian that’s played every minute of the first. Mark Daigneault’s influence I suppose.
To be fair, this exhibition game has 10-minute quarters instead of the regular 12-minute ones you have in the NBA.
