The City of Laredo reported major problems, stating, “Most of our City of Laredo facilities are experiencing an internet outage. We are in contact with the service provider but currently don’t have an estimated time for resolution. Various services, such as online payments, may not be available at the moment. We will update the community as soon as services are restored.”
The Webb County Sheriff’s Office has also been impacted, postponing jail visits until the internet is back. “Residents will be notified once the internet is up and running. If you had a visit today, it will be honored Wednesday,” Sheriff Martin Cuellar said.
The outage has also affected local banks, with IBC Banks and the Laredo Credit Union reporting no transactions possible.
Businesses and services across Texas are coping with the outage, with many providing alternative contact numbers for urgent matters. The situation remains fluid as Spectrum works to fix the issue.
