Tesla chief Elon Musk gave former US president and the current Republican candidate Donald Trump a huge shout out in front of Tesla shareholders and fans at the automaker’s annual meeting recently. Musk said that Donald Trump often calls him and is a huge fan of the futuristic Cyber Truck.
Trump loves Tesla’s Cyber Trucks
“I think a lot of his friends now have Teslas. They all love it. And he’s a huge fan of the Cybertruck,” Musk said.
Tesla CEO said that the former US President Donald Trump calls him for no reason and he does not have any idea why. Trump is “very nice” when he calls, Elon Musk said. “I don’t know why but he does,” Elon Musk added.
During the lengthy Q&A session during Tesla’s meeting, Musk also answered queries about his physical, mental, and emotional health. One fan particularly asked Musk who he later referred to as an “absolute idol,” what safety and health precautions he has been taking for the betterment of himself and the company.
This comes after Trump had previously emphasised that he would abolish President Joe Biden‘s policies on electric vehicle sales. Trump also said that EVs will not work and will harm the US auto sector, particularly by taking away many jobs. However, Musk has now suggested that Donald Trump has changed his stance on EVs and said he is a big fan of electric cars and thinks a lot of people are going to want to buy an electric car.
According to a report in WSJ, Trump and Musk have discussed a possible advisory role for the Tesla leader should the presumptive Republican nominee reclaim the White House, the latest sign that the once-frosty relationship between the two men has thawed.
