Bihar CM Announcement Highlights: Nitish Kumar resigned as Bihar Chief Minister (CM) on Tuesday, April 14. He submitted his resignation to Governor Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (Retd) at Lok Bhavan in Patna.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s will become the next CM of Bihar. This is the first time that Bihar is getting a Chief Minister from the BJP.
Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, whom the BJP parliamentary board named central observer for the legislature party leader’s election, said, “Samrat Choudhary was unanimously elected as the BJP’s legislature party leader.”
The BJP is the single largest party in the 243-strong Bihar assembly with 89 MLAs.
