The third instalment of the popular Kannada franchise Love Mocktail releases in theatres on March 19. Directed and produced by Darling Krishna under KrissMi Films, Love Mocktail 3 takes the story in a new emotional direction while concluding the characters’ journey. Krishna, who returns as Adi, says the film builds on earlier arcs while exploring a new dimension of love. “The third film focuses on the relationship between a young father and his daughter,” he says, noting that the idea follows the second film’s climax, where Adi adopts a baby.

Expanding the idea of love While the earlier films in the series revolved around romantic relationships, the third instalment seeks to broaden that emotional canvas. “The idea is also to show that love is beyond just romance. It can be what a father and his child have, or what siblings share, and so much more,” Krishna explains. According to him, the intention was to present love in its many forms rather than confining it to a single theme. A film meant for people who enjoy artKrishna says the film has been designed as an emotional experience that families can watch together. “I don’t want to say why people must watch this movie,” he notes. “But if you are an appreciator of beautiful art, you will enjoy this.” With the release coinciding with Ugadi, a time when families traditionally come together — the timing, Krishna believes, adds another layer of significance to the movie.
